Business Development Consultant, Food and Pharmaceuticals
Sewtec Automation are a well-established automation, robotics and packing line manufacturing company that have completed over 6000 installations across the World, with 85% of those projects outside of the UK where they are head quartered. They have the manufacturing capability to make their own components and machines and delta robots as well as specialized bespoke automated equipment and lines, including refurbishments.
Despite being historically successful, this private equity (PE) backed business needed to grow and it was not well-known on a widespread basis as it sold on contact networks rather than marketing. The role was very much Business Development to establish the brand and awareness and generate a lead pipeline in the UK and international markets across the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors.
Use of my own extensive network in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors as well as a clear Business Development plan, using databases, Linked In and other routes built a large network of potential clients and decision makers. This generated a strong lead and quote pipeline over an initial 6 months and then ongoing afterwards. Many of the projects were hundreds of thousands and millions of pounds value.
